Indications:
Isoprinosine Ewopharma contains the active substance inosine acedoben dimepranol and is used for the treatment of cell-mediated immune depression associated with viral infections: viral respiratory infections, primary and secondary, immunosuppressive states, influenza, infections caused by herpes viruses: Herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 (HSV) , varicella-zoster virus (VZV), infections caused by Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), genital condylomas (condyloma acuminata - genital warts) – external lesions (excluding perianal or meatal locations) as monotherapy or as an adjunct to conventional topical procedures or surgical, adjuvant treatment in skin-mucous, vulvo-vaginal (subclinical) or endocervical infections caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV), viral hepatitis, severe or complicated chicken pox; Severe or complicated rubella, subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (PESS).
Active substance:
The active substance is inosine acedoben dimepranol.
Each tablet contains inosine acedoben dimepranol 500 mg.
The other components are: mannitol, wheat starch, povidone,
magnesium stearate
Mode of administration:
Always use Isoprinosine Ewopharma exactly as your doctor has
told you.
You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not
sure.
Adults and the elderly:
The usual dose for adults and the elderly is 6-8 tablets
divided into 3-4 doses per day (50 mg/kg – 100 mg/kg, usually 3 g/day up to a
maximum of 4 g/day).
Children over 1 year of age:
50 mg/kg daily
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 4 g.
Due to the inappropriate pharmaceutical form, isoprinosine
in the form of tablets is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
Use the tablets with a sufficient amount of liquid. To make
the ingestion easier, you can crush the tablets and dissolve them in a small
amount of flavored liquid.
Contraindications:
Do not use Isoprinosine Ewopharma: if you are allergic to
inosine acedoben dimepranol or any of the other components of
this medicine. An allergic reaction may include irritation,
itchy skin, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, throat, or
tongue.
Do not use Isoprinosine Ewopharma: if you suffer from gout,
in case of a high concentration of uric acid in the plasma.
