What is Cervugid and how
it is used
This medicine is used to treat or prevent CERVICAL CANCER due to untreated infections caused by micro-organisms and viruses like
HUMAN PAPILLOMA VIRUS.
Indications are:
Treatment of Human Papilloma
Virus (HPV) high risk and low risk.
Treatment of Cervical Dysplasia
(CIN1, CIN2, CIN3)
Treatment of Bacterial
Vaginosis.
Treatment of vaginitis and
cervicitis caused by aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
Treatment of Trichomonas
vaginalis.
Treatment of vaginal and
cervicitis caused by Mycoplasma Or Chlamydia with other types of
micro-organisms;
Treatment of vaginal fungal
infections caused by Candida with other types of micro-organisms;
Vaginitis and cervicitis
prophylaxis for patients undergoing treatment with systemic immunosuppressive
chemotherapy or for patients undergoing radiotherapy;
Prophylaxis of vaginitis and
cervicitis if patients are to undergo exploratory surgery or genital area
(histero-salpingography, endometrial biopsy, etc.);
Pathogenic flora treatment
before harvesting for cytotest Babes Pap smear, to clarify and improve

Cervugid Ovules is indicated in
adults.
Cervugid not use if:
If you are pregnant use this treatment after the
first semester/or breast-feeding;
Do not drink alcohol or use medicines containing
alcohol during therapy.
It is not recommended to take more than 2 courses per year. Maximum 6 boxes.
Simultaneous use of condom or diaphragm with
Cervugid Ovules may increase risk of rupture contraceptive device.
How to use Cervugid
Cervugid administered vaginally. The ovules
(vaginal suppository) is inserted deep into the vagina, sitting relaxed,
lying down.
The usual dose is one ovule Cervugid,
evening, before bedtime. The duration of treatment is 12 days (one box).
If you need to
use in adolescents, doses are the same as for adults.
If you forget to use Cervugid
Do not take a double
dose to make up missed doses.
If you stop using Cervugid
Continue to take Cervugid until the end of
treatment, as long as your doctor prescribes. You need every dose to help
relieve or treat the condition.
Possible side effects
Negligible risk of adverse reactions due to low
systemic absorption of the active substances. Especially if prolonged
treatment, and after the first dose, may occur redness, burning local
erythema.
How to store Cervugid
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Store below 25 ° C, in the original packaging.
Cervugid not use after the expiry date stated on
the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
The active substances are: chloramphenicol,
metronidazole, nystatin, hydrocortisone acetate.
Cervugid is available in cartons containing 2
sheets PVC strips of 6 ovules ( vaginal suppository) each.
